About Us Like many great artists, writers and travelers before us, we have fallen in love with Tuscany and made it our home. Tuscan Trails is our way of sharing some local secrets with interested travelers. We offer travelers authentic experiences in places free of crowds, but rich in beauty and flavor. Every one of the staff at Tuscan Trails carries with them a deep passion for the region, and our goal is to expose travelers to parts of Tuscany, which are a little less traveled and a little more real.

Tuscan Trails was created and is currently operated by Todd Bolton. Todd’s interest in wine began over 15 years ago, and has continuously grown since. He formalized his interest in wine by studying with the Associazione Italiana Sommeliers, (the premier Italian national program designed to educate and train wine stewards in Italy) and he earned the Sommelier title in fall of 2004. Todd’s university studies focused on forestry, ecology and cultural anthropology, earning an M.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Land Management issues. Today he lives in Florence with his wife, and when he can, he spends his free time traveling, biking, and of course sharing bottles of wine with friends and loved ones!
